By: Chris Hanrahan Monday March 18, 2019 WASHINGTON STATE – Trump’s name will not appear on 2020 Ballot until he “releases his taxes”. The erratic and irresponsible policies of WA have struck again, and have the support of 80% of WA constituents who want to “save the country” through the policies of the left. The state majority (Jay Inslee + Washington State Legislature) have just overstepped in a major & unprecedented way on the States Rights issue of who is on the 2020 Ballot for President of The United States. The new Washington State law would make it impossible for President Donald Trump to be listed amongst the presidential candidates. My opinion on this policy move, which would put the “Climate Concerned Inslee” on the ballot” but not the “America Saving Trump”, is that it represents an extreme overreach and speaks to larger problems of authority. In the State of WA, where this author was born and raised, I have seen risks forming in politics for quite some time. It is insightful to walk down any street in Seattle, and witness how the policy choices being made (drinking straw bans, the deployment of heroin safe injection sites) are responsible for the self-serving Democrat leaders of the state. But not all who call the Sanctuary City are benefitted by the way the climate and drug challenges are being met. Part of the challenge is, the State of Washington is addicted to identity politics. Senator Patty Murray (D) infamously voted for Infanticide this year
By: Chris Hanrahan Many of the people who were gathered for the CNN Town Hall of Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz will be running for local office in 2020. Howard Schultz used the event as a political gymnasium, using large amounts of time in explaining the platform he was running on – one of a 3-party system. When the candidate asked his crowd if they thought that Government was doing well for them, not a single hand was raised. Howard brought his rags-to-riches story to the group and made a compelling case for his presidential run. Trump has a contender in Howard Schultz, who needs to prove he has the guts to be president, and run the 2020 Presidential Race with the longevity of his career as the Founder and CEO of Starbucks. He wants to restore the faith that Americans have in America. It’s a rags-to-riches solution. We are in political rags. His view of an immigration bill that “is sensible and will pass”, is based squarely in his understanding that an International Starbucks Company and an International United States are vastly superior to a single coffee store. And there was a moment that he was asked about “The Green New Deal”. He was diplomatic in his answer. He thinks that being sensible about what legislators suggest, is how politics should be. Through taking this stance, this author can predict a widespread need for campaigning of Independent Candidates for Congress. Howard Schultz says that an economist may disagree with him,
By: Chris Hanrahan These candidates all believe they can beat Donald Trump. Senator Elizabeth Warren has doubled down on calling Trump a racist. She said that come 2020, Trump won’t be president anymore – as he will be impeached by that time. ‘Trump may not even be a free person’ by 2020, Warren said. All three Senators presidential candidates have vowed to go into the storm ahead without a hat. During her announcement Sen. Amy Klobuchar braved the 14 degrees cold, amidst the Polar Blizzard. Sen. Cory Booker is also involved in the 2020 Democrat Race for Authenticity, saying he won’t “emulate the tactics” of President Trump.
Walter Jones died while celebrating his 76th birthday today, February 10 2019. Here is one of his famous quotes: “I did not do what I should have done to read and find out whether Bush was telling us the truth about Saddam (Hussein) being responsible for 9/11 and having weapons of mass destruction,” Jones said in a 2015 radio interview. “Because I did not do my job then, I helped kill 4,000 Americans, and I will go to my grave regretting that.”Read more here: https://www.newsobserver.com/news/politics-government/article225147640.html#storylink=cpy Read more about Walter Jones on WikiPedia here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_B._Jones_Jr.
By: Chris Hanrahan A trip to the border is planned tomorrow, February 11, 2019 for President Donald J. Trump and his team. As border talks have hit a stalemate regarding funding for the US Government and the Southern Border Wall, Democrats now appear in danger of making damning tactical errors. Considering the fact that a record number of “caravan” migrants are making their way from south of the “border”, we are now all negotiating in terms of risk and time. The President agreed to the terms of this temporary funding deal, but when it ends on February 15th 2019. Many of the Democrats who are treating this as a season for defeating Trump, the Republicans in Congress will continue to push for what they have all in the past voted to fund – border security, and a southern wall. I think it is widely known that in the past Chuck Schumer has strongly advocated for a wall. Barack Obama has even advocated a wall. The list goes on. The solution was not originally proposed by Donald Trump. Some are saying that a $100 ladder or a tunnel can get around a wall easily. Think magnetically climbing the wall from the Mexico at 3:00 AM in the middle of nowhere. Some say that there will be caravans in perpetuity regardless of what changes we make to the border and to the points of entry along the border.
[#ChooseGreatness] A Challenge for Democrats & Republicans – “Victory is Winning for our Country” Headline – Democrats Still Selective in all areas of Applause. For example: when Trump proclaimed “Ladies and Gentlemen, the State of our Union is Strong”, the [Reaction from the Republicans]was applause (and a “USA, USA, USA” Chant. The [Reaction from the Democrats]was no standing or applause. They all did their best Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer impressions and held it with a practiced stoicism that we have all learned to know and love. There is a new opportunity in American politics if only we have the courage to seize it. “Tonight, I ask you to Choose Greatness” –Donald J. Trump(2019 SOTU Address) “Trump is incompetent” –Chuck Schumer(February 5, 2019) (Majority Leader of the Senate Mitch McConnellresponded by suggesting that maybe “Chuck isn’t paying close enough attention.”) SOTU 2019: A Presidential Moment So with whom do you agree? Is Donald Trump trying to make America Great or is he incompetent? There are clearly strong differences in opinion and there’s even a chance to form your own unique opinion. If any of that is true – share them here in the comments. Some of the things people debate about lead to moments of #unity and shared understanding. Yet it’s obvious there is still division. Let’s set the table, using a counterexample of the #ChooseGreatness motto. Lots of Congresspeople are saying and doing things that aren’t #Great. It’s time to call that out. So the operative hashtags will be #Great #NotGreat #ChooseGreatness #FakeNews #FactsMatter It’s time to
By: Chris Hanrahan Things are getting pretty Schultzy in Seattle – with Howard Schultz going through the pre-election paces. He plans to run as a centrist independent candidate and vows that he will not do anything to help Donald Trump get re-elected.
Government Shutdown The Government Shutdown eclipsed the confirmations of the House and Senate on Thursday January 3, 2019. In the House of Representatives, Democrats are trying to do what is right for their party. They introduced a bill tonight to ban a wall on the southern border and several other bills. They showed great unison in support of Nancy Pelosi earlier in the day, where she gained the nomination over McCarthy, by obtaining a majority of votes. There were 15 Democrats who did not vote for her. Congratulations to Nancy Pelosi. Republicans are responding that the bills they are trying to pass are not in keeping with what the American People want. They want to build a wall and as Trump has made clear, they will not be ending in a weak fashion on this issue. This shutdown has already gone on for this long, and it will keep going if need be – because Donald Trump has made no secret how important this issue of a Trump Wall is to him. How Long Will the Shutdown Last? After 35 days of Government Shutdown, a 3-week temporary funding bill was passed. There will be on February 15th either a spending bill for Feb 15th through Oct 1st or, a declaration of National Emergency by President Trump. The Shutdown was ended to create a period of negotiation between Congress and the President. RIFS and Other Things At least this step gave the Government paychecks a reboot. But it could be short-lived. And
